A New Year’s Resolution for Creativity

A New Year’s Resolution for Creativity

Wishing you the very best in 2026! Do you have any New Year’s resolutions?

My own resolution is to take a calmer, more thoughtful approach to developing new art glass ideas. My mind is constantly generating concepts for new creations, and there is never quite enough time to bring every idea to life. At times, I wish my brain would slow down just enough for my hands to catch up and fully explore each new direction.

Last year, the Colorful Quote plates began as one of those ideas. After about three months of development and production, they were introduced and quickly became a success! That experience was a valuable reminder that turning creative ideas into finished pieces takes time, patience, and care.

So, for the year ahead, my New Year’s resolution is a simple one — to be patient with an overactive creative mind and allow each idea the time it deserves.
