Yes, after over 20 years of working with glass I still find it magical! The options of how it will react are endless and this makes every day in my studio an exciting thrill. In the photo you see my jar of ivory color glass shards. When I spray the shards with distilled water and then sprinkle a blue powdered glass on the ivory shards it’s the beginning of a magical reaction to take place. In the kiln the blue powdered glass and ivory colored shards react when they touch each other. When placed in a hot kiln these glasses create a very special effect I call “River Rock”.
